The main entrance is the ground floor. The door is wide enough to accommodate a standardized wheelchair and electric wheelchair. Our main lobby, bar and theatre are wheelchair accessible. Our stage is not as it is about 4 inches off the ground.
Unfortunately, as of right now our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The closest wheelchair accessible washroom is at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre, across the street from the theatre. Their hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 6 am-10 pm, Saturday, 8 am-6 pm, and Sunday, 9 am to 6 pm.
Age Restriction 16+:
At Tightrope Theatre, our shows are 16+ due to the improvised nature of our work which can often include adult themes, language, and situations.
Even if a child (or their parents) are comfortable with them experiencing adult content, their presence can impact the experience for the rest of the audience. Many guests may feel distracted, adjusting their own comfort levels or filtering their reactions based on the presence of a minor. Instead of fully immersing themselves in the performance, they may be preoccupied with how the child is processing the content, which affects their ability to relax and enjoy the show.
Live theatre thrives on shared energy, and we want to ensure that everyone in the room can enjoy the show to its fullest.

Refund Policy
FULL REFUND:
If Tightrope needs to cancel a class due to illness, or low registration, you will be refunded in full. If you cancel your registration 1 week or more before the course start date, you will receive a full refund, with the exception of The First Step which is non refundable.
PARTIAL REFUND:
If you cancel your registration within 3-6 days of the class starting you may receive:

50% Refund
NO REFUND:
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class begins are non-refundable. Exceptions will be made in the case of death, serious injury or serious illness. The First Step is non refundable, however you may switch the date of your registration up to 1 time.

TIGHTROPE IMPRO THEATRE is committed to providing an environment that is free from bullying, discrimination, and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
This Code of Conduct applies to all persons involved with Tightrope Impro Theatre, including but not limited to: directors, staff, instructors, volunteers, students, performers, patrons, or anyone conducting activities with Tightrope or within the Tightrope Theatre space.
