At Tightrope we offer all kinds of classes, whether you're new to improv or a veteran wanting to hone your skills. 

Beginners

First Step

Are you new to improv, or want to reignite an interest in theatre from years ago? Dip your toe into the spontaneous, and step forward into a world of laughter, and possibilities.

Saturdays from 4:30PM - 6:30PM

COST: $40 + GST (includes a free ticket to a show!)

YOUTH & TEEN

Unlock your creativity and boost your confidence at Tightrope Theatre!

 

Our dynamic workshops are designed to help young performers ages 8-17 explore the art of improvisation in a fun, supportive environment. Led by experienced instructors, these classes offer a fantastic opportunity to develop quick thinking, teamwork, and storytelling skills while making new friends. Whether you're a budding comedian or simply looking to try something new, Tightrope Theatre is the perfect place to let your imagination soar!

Advanced

For anyone who has completed our Foundations series, Studio classes or equivalent.

Status & Character

This course will give you tools and training to spontanously create believable and entertaining characters in scenes. We will explore techniques of status and power dynamics, physical acuity, outrageous attitudes and more. We will mine the comedic potential of authentic human behavior, so you can expand your character range and create compelling stories in any improvisational style.
