Service Description
Impro is a style of improvisation played around the world. It is an approach that embraces diverse perspectives, revels in physicality, and seeks truthfulness as a source of extraordinary comedy. This course will give you strong footing with the foundational improv games, a basic understanding of narrative, and set you up to follow the path to becoming an improvisor. Emerse yourself in the Tightrope style. 5 weeks, 10 hours total. November 22nd - December 20th Sundays 3:00PM - 5:00PM Instructor: Jennifer Tong About Jennifer: Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Jennifer Tong (she/her) is a Vancouver-based actor and improviser. When she’s not onstage or in front of the camera, you can find her exploring the local food scene and indulging in the Pacific Northwest. She is a big believer in following your passions, the power of coffee and the joy of storytelling. Select film credits include Grand Army (Netflix), DC's Legends of Tomorrow (The CW), The Good Doctor (ABC), Fire Country (CBS), So Help Me Todd (CBS) and FAKES (CBC Gem/Netflix), Rags 2 Richmond (Viral Nation). Select theatre credits include China Doll (Gateway Theatre), Much Ado About Nothing (Bard on the Beach), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Bard on the Beach). Cancellation Policy
Full Refund: If Tightrope needs to cancel a class due to illness, or low registration, you will be refunded in full. If you cancel your registration 1 week or more before the course start date, you will receive a full refund, with the exception of The First Step which is non refundable. Partial Refund: If you cancel your registration within 3-6 days of the class starting you may receive: 100% Credit 50% Refund No Refund: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class begins are non-refundable. Exceptions will be made in the case of death, serious injury or serious illness. The First Step is non refundable, however you may switch the date of your registration up to 1 time. *Eventbrite's fees are non-refundable
